Hello All - happy first day of Fall 2015!
I know this post regarding the Bay Area Wellness Symposium is quite last minute, but I'd like to share the event in hopes that some of you can attend. It will be a great source of information and an excellent opportunity to network. I will be attending the event so please feel free to email me at misskate03@gmail.com if you'd like to sit together. Below you will find event information from Julie Kaufmann, the Senior Director for the community health division of the American Heart Association, regarding this event. (Also, I believe this event is free for students...) I’m pleased to share that the American Heart Association is organizing a peer-to-peer learning style event on Worksite Wellness on August 25, and we would love to have you or your organization join us! The keynote address will be: Dying for a Paycheck: Sustainability and the Workplace by Jeffrey Pfeffer, Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. Additional topics include a panel discussion featuring wellness leaders from top Bay Area companies and breakout sessions on free American Heart Association wellness resources. We would love to have you and/or the individuals who oversee wellness at your company or organization attend! Details below. Please feel free to forward this invite on within your organization, or to your peers at other employers. Camie Sanchez is organizing this event and can answer any questions you might have or accept your RSVP. You can reach Camie at camie.sanchez@heart.org or 408.606.5951.
