Hello everyone!
Below is a message from SDA member and Sports Nutrition Sub-Committee leader, Steven Machek, about a recent educational presentation held at San Mateo High School: The Sports Nutrition Sub-Committee had the opportunity to take a small group of its members and present to San Mateo High School's football team. Sean Stream, Tope Pedro, and I took it upon ourselves to educate around 40 students to the importance of topics such as proper pre-workout nutrition, post-workout nutrition, hydration, and weight maintenance. We also delved into sustainable/attainable food sources for athletes with varied nutritional goals.

Hi all, Below is an email regarding a distance dietetic internship that has increased the number of intern positions for the next match period. Hello,
My name is Amy Good and I am a Program Coordinator for Priority Nutrition Care Distance Dietetic Internship. I am writing to inform you that we were recently notified of our full accreditation for 120 interns. Previously we had held Candidate for Accreditation status for 36 interns. This wonderful news means that we will have two classes annually (Spring and Fall matching), with 60 Interns enrolling per match period. This change is going into effect for this current Spring match period. We will be increasing the number of Intern positions in the current match period from 36 to 60. Because we received this news after the match deadlines, and because our Interns are required to identify their preceptors in advance and need more time, we will be participating in the second round matching to fill these additional positions. There are application instructions on our website, www.PNCDDI.com. I would appreciate it if you would pass this information on to anyone who may be interested. If you have any questions please do not reply to this email, rather email Internship@PriorityNutritionCare.com. Sincerely, Amy Good National Nutrition Month
