Your SDA Officers
The San Francisco VA Healthcare System, Nutrition and Food Services department is seeking nutrition student volunteers. They offer great opportunities for students to gain valuable experience. The on-boarding process can take some time, so interested students should start the process early. If they want to start volunteering in the summer, they should get the ball rolling in April.

National Nutrition Month® is a nutrition education and information campaign created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and celebrated annually in March. The campaign focuses on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits. In addition, National Nutrition Month® promotes the Academy and its members to the public and the media as the most valuable and credible source of timely, scientifically-based food and nutrition information. This year's theme is "Go Further with Food," a reminder to eat healthfully for ongoing energy and plan meals and snacks in advance to help reduce food loss and waste.
Come celebrate with us by doing nutrition education outreach out on the quad Monday 3/12 and Wednesday 3/14. This is a great way to show your SDA and community spirit!
Thank you to those who have offered to volunteer. We still have open slots if anyone else would like to participate. What we will be doing: Talking about sugar sweetened beverages in Think! Before You Drink!, letting our fellow students know about SFSUs Pop Up Food Pantry, and our outreach efforts in our subcommittees. We would also love to have a banana suit mascot. Sign up even if you don't have much tabling experience - we have some activities for you to have fun with. Sign up here: goo.gl/5LxhHV
Hope to see you all there!
